We do this by guarding the Stone that grants eternal life to its owner, investigating all other threats, and, when necessary, eliminating them. Danger is always lurking. These words go back thousands of years.
In which language they were once written, even we no longer know.
But what we do know is the impact these words have had.
Our distant ancestors once found the two stones.
Together, they granted eternal life to their bearer.
They must have thought it was a gift from the gods.
But immortality is a treacherous temptation.
It is said that it was two brothers who found the stones: Rocscalc and Reymar.
Both believed they deserved eternal life.
The promise of immortality broke the blood bond between the brothers.
And a war to claim eternal life was unleashed.
For centuries, the stones indirectly claimed countless lives.
Perhaps that is the toll to be paid for infinity.
The struggle between the followers of both brothers festered like a dirty wound.
Until followers of Rocscalc decided enough was enough.
Destroying the stones was not an option, but hiding them was.
Thus, in secret, an organization was founded to protect the stones: ROX. Named after my ancestor, one of the discoverers.
The followers of Reymar never gave up the fight.
Our paths have crossed multiple times throughout history.
For now, the stones remain hidden. However, the threat persists.
We have adapted to the times to protect the stones.
Still, we serve the same purpose:
To protect the stones so no one can misuse them and to safeguard humanity from the inevitable danger of immortality.
Standing directly opposite us are they, the followers of Reymar. They’ve had many names. Today, they call themselves ‘Starlife Enterprise’.
Their goal is to obtain the stones. With eternal life, they seek to seize the power of the world.
